Magic Hour at Mt. Tamalpais, Marin County

North of San Francisco, across from the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County lies Mount Tamalpais. It is the second day of 2015 and without seeking, we found the best sunset of 2015 thus far. Hues of burnt orange and periwinkle filled the sky. A chill enveloped us at we looked down on civilization so far away, sharing this quiet moment of the new year with but a handful of people. In the distance, San Francisco and its madness is but a faint shadow. Forgotten.

If the beauty and joy of this day is telling of what is to come in the next 363 days, then I cannot wait.
