Weakness

I have a weakness for white rooms peppered with teak minimilist furniture. It especially helps if there are hairpin legs on each table. And subway and penny tiles.

The Hub Tea Room has recently opened next door to Hub Coffee on the River and you can travel back and forth between your tea and coffee since they're adjoining rooms really. I personally have a coffee habit, but at this extemely well-designed space, tea-drinkers are no longer excluded. We had a brief chit-chat with owner Mark, and it is palpable how proud he is of this space as though he had birthed a new child. He seeks to employ the same careful sourcing for tea that he does with his coffee and it will be nail-biting what comes of this new venture. Futuristic machines promise the best tea geekiness and scientific precision can provide. Maybe I will even revert back to drinking tea.

The Hub Tea Room adjoins Hub on the River at 727 Riverside Drive, Reno, NV.
